So we had to downsize severely...and decided to go home to Florida. This time near St. Petersburg, FL (on the other side of the bay from where we used to live, Tampa). Lovely area, next to an honest to god bayou, where manatees and dolphins have been known to frolic and alligators rule..literally! There is even a fishing spot should you want to go fishing...pictures as soon as we replace our camera (which got dropped on Greyhound on the way down). It's been a bit of an adventure...
So now, in a cute studio/one bedroom apartment that Tom can wheel about in. More space than in the last apartment which tended to get cramped really fast...and rented originally before Tom had to go to a wheelchair due to a degenerating achelles tendon and a c lub foot which causes him pain to walk on...
Now to fix my computer, which apparently has suddenly forgotten it has a hard drive. On this old laptop til then. Hopefully, now that I am back down South, I can continues to pull out of my shell and stay out of it this time...
The sad part is that we had to leave our two cats behind in a no kill shelter in Boston..one cat was adopted, but the other caught a virus..yeah. She passed on. There's some other things I left undone up there, but I will have to live with it now, since I can't do anything about it.
So life goes on. I finally was able to write an AE recently for my SG/guild on City of Heroes. That in itself was a miracle, especially when you consider I haven't been able to write a story in over a year...and starting to comb the city for new or gently used furniture....I think Tom and I will be ok.
